ROBERT R. BLUME (Founder, President)
Has been a theatrical/entertainment Producer/Manager for over 25 years and this year marks his 17th year as an Executive Producer of the annual DRAMA DESK AWARDS ("the Golden Globes of the theatre”), now in partnership with TheaterMania.com.
His current productions:
1) ON KENTUCKY AVENUE, after a year of performances at Stage72/TheTriad, recently performed at Aaron Davis Hall @ City College of NY and at the Dante Hall Theater @ Richard Stockton College in Atlantic City, NJ as it continues building momentum toward a move to Broadway early 2016.
2) SKITSO! starring Australian actor/writer/comedian Jim Dailakis and directed by Charles Messina. The show was performed as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival in June, 2015. Prior developmental productions were performed at the Bellmore Theatre in Long Island, NY and Stage72/The Triad in NYC in 2014.
3) International Chanteuse Adrienne Haan recently starred in a new Concert/Show entitled Rock Le Cabaret! at THE CUTTING ROOM in NYC which will be developed for a future off-Broadway run.
4) International Performer Adrienne Haan will be starring in a new Concert entitled TEHORAH!celebrating 50 years of German-Israeli Diplomatic Relations at Weill/Carnegie Hall in NYC on October 29, 2015.
In the recent past, Mr. Blume was a co-Producer on a limited-run revival of the play, ME AND JEZEBEL at the Snapple Theater in NYC. Recent theatrical producing ventures include a New York concert co-production with Les Schecter and The Swiss Society of New York, SUE MATHYS SINGS BROADWAY & PIAF at Weill/Carnegie Hall; off-Broadway thriller MINDGAME that starred Academy and Tony Award winner, Keith Carradine and was directed by film legend, the late, Ken Russell at the Soho Playhouse.
Other current entertainment projects include co-Executive Producing a TV pilot for kids being presented to networks titled CHILDISH DREAM TALES – MESS-UP ROOM (now can be downloaded on Amazon);serving as consulting producer on a new reality show, FASHION IN THE FAST LANE which features his client and Lifestyle personality Samantha Von Sperling also a partner in developing Reality TV properties; and serving as a VIP Judge/career coach in Acting/Modeling Competitions throughout the United States.

Mr. Blume represents many active performers for Film, Theatre, Television and Modeling.
Mr. Blume is now representing the Film/TV projects of Writer/Producer Tom Waters and his company EL GATO ROJO PRODUCTIONS based in NY and LA.
In film & TV world, Mr. Blume started as an NBC Page and then worked on the production staff of THE TONIGHT SHOW starring Johnny Carson; was the Executive Producer of the 1992 Cannes Film Festival (short film category) entry by Ronald Guttman, LOOPING; was the Associate Producer of the JERRY LEWIS MDA LABOR DAY TELETHON in New York; served as Entertainment Director for the NATIONAL FITNESS FOUNDATION AWARDS ceremony honoring former President Richard M. Nixon and then IBM Chief Executive, John Akers; and was a Producer of corporate events for Lot Airlines, IBM Int'l Marketing Group, Bonwit Teller among others.
Mr. Blume’s previous theatrical producing ventures include the NYC production of LEGENDS IN CONCERT at what is now the Foxwoods Theatre; the Los Angeles productions of COMING OF AGE, staged by Tony Tanner and THE HEAD, directed by former Love Boat star Lauren Tewes; the 28-city USA/Canadian Tour of SLASK, The National Folk Ballet Of Poland; the Broadway limited engagements of MANNY, The Edward G. Robinson Story and MARLOWE, the Rock Musical.; and the development of the musical Milton & Me (life of comedian Milton Berle) for Broadway.
Mr. Blume is proud to have been a 20-year Tony voter as a member of The Broadway League; is a current Drama Desk voter and Advisory Board Member of the DUKE ELLINGTON CENTER FOR THE ARTS. He is single and has a 26-year-old son named Ross currently living in Los Angeles where he is an Account Executive for Fusion PR (a corporate firm specializing in the tech world.
In The Begining!
Veteran Entertainment Producer and Talent Manager, ROBERT R. BLUME originally started Step Forward Entertainment (using a similar name) in 2008 to expand into talent management, a talent agency and performer education & coaching in partnership with Kenny Kassel and Kathy Towson. Unfortunately, Mr. Kassel passed away and Ms. Towson had to retire for family health reasons.
Step Forward Entertainment was then re-organized in 2009 to have an Entertainment Production Division (Live and TV production) and a Talent Management Division (actors, performers, models, filmmakers). Seminars and coaching has been minimal but will be expanded in late 2014.
Mr. Blume also travels throughout the United States (and occasionally overseas) scouting new talent via his status as a VIP Judge/Instructor for various competitions in the USA.
Step Forward Entertainment also has many strategic alliances in both the talent management and production areas. SFE regularly partners with other producers, managers, agents, etc, when it makes sense, to help the clients move their careers or projects forward under SFE guidance.
